Destinations Covered: Delhi - Agra - Haryana - Punjab and Himachal
Day 01: Arrive/Delhi by Int’l flight
Today you will arrive at Delhi International airport. Meet/Assist on arrival and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast, you will be taken to visit Indian Agricultural Research Institute (Pusa Institute). Afternoon you will be taken on a combined sightseeing tour of Old & New Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi/Agra/Delhi
After early breakfast, you will be taken on a full day trip to Agra visiting The magnificent Mughal Capital visiting Taj Mahal – a poem written in white marble, the most extravagant monument ever built for love, Agra fort – a visit to the fort in ‘Agra’ is must since so many of the events which lead to the construction of the Taj took Place here, and also visit local market. Return to Delhi & stay overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Delhi/Shimla via Chandigarh
After breakfast, you will travel by road to Shimla en route visiting Chandigarh - Is the best-planned city in India, with architecture which is world-renowned, and a quality of life, which is unparalleled. As the capital of the states of Punjab and Haryana, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh it is a prestigious city. The face of modern India, Chandigarh, is the manifestation of a dream that Pt. Jawaharlal Lal Nehru envisaged and Le Corbusier executed & continue your drive to Shimla & check-in at Hotel.
Day 05 : Shimla-Kotagarh-Shimla
After breakfast, you will be taken to Kotagarh – Where The Apples grow is about 82 kms long excursion from Shimla via Naldehra where you will be welcomed with a host of apple trees, that is more like a country where an apple revolution took place. Exporting several lacs tones of apples every where, this trend was started by Samuel Evans Stokes. He was an American who made Barobag Hill his resident and called it Harmony Hall. At the age of 22 in 1904, he inspired by Indian rituals became a Hindu and started living as a sage. In the year 1919, he started planting trees in his 200 acres land. It was this initiative that resulted in a giant cultivation of apples in Himachal Pradesh. Later Return to Shimla.
Day 06 : Shimla
After breakfast, you will be taken on half day sightseeing tour of Shimla visiting The Mall, Jakhu Temple, Shimla state Museum and other places of Interest. Afternoon free to relax.
Day 07: Shimla/Amritsar
After breakfast, driven to Amritsar situated in the Indian state of Punjab, very close of the border with Pakistan and is a city of great religious importance because it is the spiritual & culture centre of the Sikh Religion. While driving Shimla-Amritsar we will stop en route to visit local farmers who grow agricultural products. Arrive in Amritsar & check-in at Hotel.
Day 08 : Amritsar
After early breakfast, you will be taken to The Golden Temple is a two storey marble structure, with an imposing dome of pure gold. The Interior of the temple is decorated with semi precious stones, frescoes and glass work. Near the Golden Temple, is Jallianwala Bagh, a poignant memorial of the Freedom Movement. This garden was the site of a brutal massacre of over 2000 innocent unarmed people, on the orders of a British General on April 13, 1919. The bullet scarred walls of the well kept garden, today, enclose a memorial with an eternal flame, dedicated to the martyrs. Also visit Durgiana Temple, outside the Lohagarh gate of the old city, is dedicated to Goddess Durga, and is a centre of pilgrimage for devout Hindus. After finishing the tour you will be taken to The Institute of Agriculture, Khalsa College, Amritsar. If time permits then you will be taken to witness the closing ceremony (Change of Guard) at Wagah Border.
Day 09: Amritsar/Bhatinda
After breakfast, you will travel to Bhatinda - Located in southern Punjab, it is an old city were Guru Gobind Singhji fought the Mughals. There are a myriad events that speak of the city and its people's defiance of the British and princely rulers. Today the city is an important market for agricultural products (food grains and flourmills), handloom weaving and cotton. The huge thermal power plants and its prominence in trade are Bhatinda's bold steps in modern times. Arrive & check-in at Hotel.
Day 10: Bhatinda
After breakfast, you will be taken to visit Bathinda Fort or Qila Mubarak & then to local villages to see how the local farmers grow agricultural products.
Day 11: Bhatinda/Sirsa
After breakfast, you will travel to Sirsa and check-in at Hotel. Afternoon you will be taken to visit local farmers who grow their agricultural products.
Day 12: Siira/Hisar
After breakfast, you will travel to Hisar and check-in at Hotel. Afternoon you will be taken to visit Nature Car Farm, Hissar With an area of over 75 acres, lush green landscape fascinates all the visitors to savor the fresh air and ethnic rural culture. The visitors can take rejuvenating break form the tiring routine of cities. An eco-friendly form of farming is practiced here which includes herbal farming, organic farming, vermi-compost unit, orchard and vegetable garden, bee keeping, stud farm, dairy farming, poultry, agro forestry and aqua culture (farm fresh prawns). Amazing performances by traditional dancing horses is another highlight of this farm.
Day 13 : Hisar/Rohtak
After breakfast, you will travel to Rohtak and check-in at Hotel. Afternoon you will be taken to visit Banni Khera Farm, Rohtak With an area of over 10 acres, Banni Khera Farm House is designed according to Vaastu Shastra principles. Farming keeps the farmers occupied throughout the year so whenever you are there, you will that something is going on. You can visit and explore the haveli at Banni Khera farms & fields at their leisure. On-site fishing at its tranquil location enhances its beauty. If you want to seek an experience of true ethnic and cultural ethos and exposure of modern day farming, its exclusive setting is very suitable for you.
Day 14 : Rohtak/Delhi
After breakfast, you will travel to Delhi & check-in at Hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax or for last minute shopping on your own.
Day 15 : Depart/Delhi by International flight.
Today you will be transferred to Delhi International airport in time to board your onward flight to your next destination.
