Jagannatha Puri

Puri is the forerunner of the Jagannath cult in Orissa, which saw the flowering of several temples dedicated to Jagannath all over the state. The temple is dedicated to Jagannatha (Lord Krishna). The word Jagannath in Sanskrit means 'Lord of Universe'.

Meenakshi Temple

One of the most ancient and largest temples in the country, the Meenakshi temple is located in Madurai, a city in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Rich in traditions, festivals & art, Madurai is second to none in representing the rich cultural heritage of India.

Sarnath

Dwarka

Lord Krishna established Dwarka as his capital 5,000 years ago, just after he left Mathura, and spent one hundred years here. Modern-day Dwarka is located in the Jamnagar district of Gujrat, is an important pilgrimage centre is on the mouth.

Rameshwaram

Rameswaram is a town in Ramanathapuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located on an island separated from the mainland by the Pamban channel and is less than 40 kilometres from the Jaffna Peninsula, Sri Lanka.

Ranakpur Jain Temple

Ranakpur in the state of Rajasthan is one of the five most important pilgrimage sites of Jainism. Ranakpur is widely known for its marble Jain temple. The place also holds command for a much older Sun Temple.

Shirdi

Shirdi was the home of Sai Baba, a great saint who lived here for more than 50 years of his life. This small village in the interior of Maharashtra came into prominence after the death of an old sage in 1918.
