A festival of nine nights, the Hindus venerate the goddess of Shakti with dedication. Goddess Sakti, Devi or Divine Mother are some of the terms describe the mother of power with to bring good luck and remove all obstacles of their lives. It’s assumed that the goddess performed various tasks, thus comprises so many forms as well.

Durga, Lakshmi and Sarawati are some of the popular forms of the Shakti Goddess to execute the roles of destructive, protective, and knowledge almighty. All the Hindus devotees worship the same forms of the Goddess during the Navaratri puja, the nine nights.

Navratri festival has been a major Indian festival for eternity and celebrated two times a year. The first time, it falls in the month of Chaitra (April-May), while the second time, it falls in Aswayuja (September-October). The nine manifestations of Durga make this wonderful and highly significant Indian festival to last for nine days. Fasting is observed by the majority of Indians, and some even the fasts are kept for full ten days

During the first three nights, Hindus worship the destructive aspect of the divine mother to get rid of future obstacles. The next three nights are celebrated by worshipping the protective aspect of Lakshmi. The last three nights entails the devotees to pray to the goddess for her knowledge aspect or Saraswati. According to the Hindu mythologies, Durga annihilates all the evil aspects of her devotees firstly, and then Lakshmi offers divine to the devotees, and finally Saraswati imparts true knowledge to her devotees. Vijaya Dasami, last and the 10th day marks the triumph of knowledge over ignorance of goodness.
