Meet/Assist on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Day 02: Mumbai Morning excursion to Elephanta Island by motor launch. Afternoon city tour of Mumbai visiting the Gateway of India, Marine Drive, Gandhi Museum, Hanging Gardens etc. Day 03: Mumbai/Ahmedabad by flight Take a short flight to Ahmedabad. Meet and transfer to hotel. Afternoon city tour of Ahmedabad highlights. Day 04: Ahmedabad/Dasada After breakfast, driven to Patan – home of the famous patola silk sarees, continue your drive to Modhera the sun temple of modhera is one of the finest examples of Indian temple architecture of its period, still continue your drive to the Little Runn of Kachchh and check in at Camp. Day 05: DasadaMorning visit the little runn of kuchchh which is the breeding ground of Flamingo, Pelican & Avocet and the home of the rare Indian Wild Ass which is now a protected species. Rest of the day is free to relax. Day 06: Dasada/Bhuj Drive to Bhuj and check in at hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax. Day 07: Bhuj Today you would take the sightseeing tour of Bhuj – the old walled city of bhuj is the most important town in the area. The oldest museum in Gujarat is located in Bhuj. Also visit a nearby village to have a look at their special style of Embroidery called “Bharat”. Day 08: Bhuj/GondalDrive to Gondal enroute visiting Rajkot - the town where Mahatma Gandhi spent the early years of his life. Visit Watson museum, continue your drive to Gondal. Afternoon visit the Naulakha Palace & Swami Narayan Temple. Day 09: Gondal/Junagarh/Sasan Gir Drive to Junagarh an ancient fortified city rich in myth and legend. The antiquities of Junagarh go back to the times of the Emperor Ashoka. Visit the fort and drive to Sasan Gir famous for The Asiatic Lion. Day 10: Sasan Gir/Diu Arise early morning to have Jeep drive to the Sasan Gir sanctuary which provides refuge to that rare species – The Asiatic Lion, The sanctuary covers and area 500 square miles of dry where the Lions roam freely. Other wild life includes bear, antelope, hyena, fox, the nilgai or black buck. After finishing the tour drive to Diu and check in at hotel. Day 11: DiuMorning you will be visiting the places of interest in Diu mainly the Fort, The church, the Museum all giving a touch of Portuguese influence. Rest of the day is free to relax. Day 12: Diu After breakfast, full day free to relax on the beach. Day 13: Diu/Bhavnagar Drive to Bhavnagar once the princely state which was founded in 1743 and is now a flourishing port on the Gulf of Khambhat. Bhavnagar is the base for Palitana. Day 14: Bhavnagar/Palitana/BhavnagarFull day excursion to Palitana - the famous Jain Temples. The 600 meter climb to shatrunjaya is usually made on foot. (Dolis or Lift chairs are also available at extra cost). Day 15: Bhavnagar/Mumbai by flight. Short flight to Mumbai. Meet/Assist on arrival and transfer to hotel. Day 16: Depart/Mumbai Transfer to airport in time for your onward flight.
