Thiruvananthpuram (known as Trivandrum) the capital of Kerala is to be found at the South Western tip of India. Among its vast attractions, Shankhumugham Beach, Napier Museum, Veli Tourist Village, Kovalam Beach, Sree Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary, Vettukad Church etc, are the prime ones.
Kovalam beach attracts a vast number of travellers which is away at 16 km and around half-an-hour's drive from the city. Kovalam has three adjoining crescent beaches; the Lighthouse Beach is the southernmost, and visited by the maximum number of travellers.
