Jodhpur
Jodhpur is a lively desert city is the majestic state of Rajasthan. The city is the second biggest in Rajasthan after Jaipur and boasts of sites dominated by the gigantic Meherangarh Fort. Almost 10 km long wall fences the old city.
Jodhpur is renowned for its impressive castles and palaces, and attracts a good number of tourists from all parts of the globe. It was set-up by the Rajput chief Rao Jodha in 1459. The city gives an impression of a retreat in the infinite desert by way of a variety of prickly shrubs all over the area. A distinctive desert environment makes it completely different from the rest of the Indian cities and also gives it an arid and sizzling look.
The months of November and March receive the maximum influx of tourists who choose these months to evade the extreme hot weather. The amusing and sunny days are loved by travellers to throng Jodhpur. About 100 towers in the city with protective walls delight those who ever get to come to this mystique land.

Jodhpur boasts of some wonderful sites that clearly illustrate the ancient charm of Rajasthan and the deadly battles among the Rajputs kings. The Mehrangarh Fort is rated as one of Rajasthan's finest forts at125 metres altitude, and is quite a rage. Jaswant Thada is a superb structure with specific trelliswork and outstanding carving. Umaid Bhawan and Mandore are other spots to be seen in the city with zeal.
