Horse SafariDuration: 09 Nights / 10 DaysDestinations Covered: Delhi - Nawalgarh - Parasrampura - Lohargarh - Gorian - Jaipur - Agra Day 01: Arrive/Delhi by International flight Today you will be arrive at Delhi International airport. Meet on arrival and transfer to hotel. Day 02: Delhi/Nawalgarh After breakfast, driven to Nawalgarh and check in at the hotel. After lunch you will be taken to the stables where you will be introduced to all the team for the safari. It will be followed by a briefing on Horse riding in India. The guests then ride around the field tracks near the Palace to get accustomed to your horses. Incase riders are not comfortable they can try another horse. Nawalgarh in the Shekhawati region in Rajasthan's districts of Jhunjhunu & Sikar, known for the painting houses or "Havelis" of its wealthy merchant class, the Marwaris. This region could be called the open-air art gallery of Rajasthan. The drive to Shekhawati is through picturesque village and farms. Day 03: Nawalgarh Today Morning ride out with picnic breakfast to the countryside, return in time for lunch. Afternoon free time at the palace optional to invite ladies to decorate the palms of lady guests with henna then sightseeing of nawalgarh by car with guide visiting Havelis, to see frescos and painted houses. ![]() Day 04: Nawalgarh/Parasrampura Today morning ride southeast direction towards the aravali ranges. Riding on sand tracks through arid farm lands with patches of green where some farmers take a winter crop as they have struck water from a aquifers you follow a dry riverbed with lots of Acacia bushes. The view of Aravali ranges in the distance makes the ride very scenic. reach your camp sight near Parasrampura, Where the safari staff has set up camp and are ready to receive the riders, which also carries folk musicians, has transported lunch. After lunch you move towards the Aravali mountains. Overnight in the Camp. Day 05: Parasrampura/Lohargal Today morning, ride down the dry sandy riverbed to the foothills of Aravalli’s to the Pilgrim town of Lohargal. It is said Bhima the strongest of the five Pandav brothers, one of the heroes of the epic Mahabharat, had his mace cast here. Hence, the name ‘Lohargal’, meaning iron smelting. This has also a place of Hindu pilgrimage. Amidst the many old step wells and ruins old structures is the Birla Rest house facing a 2500ft Sheer rock face. In the grounds are many Banyan trees where our horses and kitchen tents are placed. Guests use the rooms, which are furnished by our camp equipment. Overnight at Camp at Birla Rest House.Day 06: Lohargal/Gorian Today Morning ride in the southwest direction towards Sikar following the mountain range again down a dry riverbed till Raghunathgarh. The stone quarries of Raghunathgarh have resulted in deep ravines. Riding past them is a great experience. Halt for Lunch at mid-day. Overnight at Camp in a farmer’s field. Day 07: Gorian/Jaipur via Samode Morning horse riding followed by breakfast then Say good-bye to your horses and driven to Jaipur en-route visiting Samode famous for Forts & Palaces, continue your drive to Jaipur and check in at hotel. Day 08: JaipurAfter breakfast, you will enjoy an elephant ride up to the Amber Fort and visit the Palace, Kali Temple and Jai Mahal. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Day 09: Jaipur/Agra After breakfast, driven to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Afternoon city tour. Day 10: Agra/Delhi & Depart/Delhi by International flight. After breakfast, you will be taken on a half day sightseeing tour of Agra. Afternoon driven to Delhi International airport in time to connect your onward flight to your next destination.
